Why do I have a leak? There are many factors that can cause
your pool to have a leak. Some factors are:

Huge trees planted near the pool
Aged plaster cracking
Ground shifting over time
Decks sinking into the ground
Broken pipes
Mechanical issues
How do I know if my pool is leaking? While most companies will say to do a bucket test, I’d like to explain that the pool system is a closed system. What do I mean by closed system? When your pool is filled to the proper water level it shouldn’t have any exit unless it’s being maintained (backwash). The water level in your pool should never significantly drop below the skimmers. If you find yourself adding more than 2 inches of water a week you may have a leak. Get to know your pool and observe it.
